Had a thought a few weeks ago and wrote it down. Just found the paper on which I wrote it:
Liberals are people whose good intentions didn't understand the point of "Harrison Bergeron".

I don't think that makes you sound stupid.
To the Wikipedia! J/K, though you can if you want. Harrison Bergeron is a short story by Kurt Vonnegut. It begins with this line: "The year was 2081, and everybody was finally equal."
It is a good story to read.

I was introduced to it in English Comp 2, I think. One of my best professors taught that class.
