I've been meaning to post this for months (which you will notice, because it references April 25 as upcoming), but kept forgetting or losing it in my inbox. When I read this article (from Focus on the Family magazine) I kept thinking, "Wow, yep, uh-huh." I don't agree with every single thing FotF or its representatives say or do, but on this I think they are right on.
To be honest, when y'all post articles, I usually don't read them, so I certainly don't expect you to read this one. I just thought it was so good that a few of you may be interested.

I've got an evolution question: When you compose an email in evolution you have the option to go to the top and select Format -> Page you can select a different page background color.
But you have to do this for every single message you create if you want to change the background color for the messages you compose.
How do I made this the default for all the emails I compose with Evolution? I know how to do it with Thunderbird... but not Evolution...
I have an old pentium II 300MHZ with 128M of memory that I beat the snot of occasionally. This week I'm kicking it in the teeth with Slackware 12.1. However, I've run into a problem that I can't seem to get around and hoping that the great minds in this community may be able to help me.
Lilo seems to hate me. Every time I try to boot I get : 'LILO - keytable read/checksum error' and that is all. I can boot from install disc 1 with the boot command 'huge.s root=/dev/hda2 rdinit= ro.' My boot is sitting in MBR and I've tried reinstalling several times and downloading the ISO's twice. I've googled the hell out of this problem and turned up nothing. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
And yes, I know that GRUB is better, but I would prefer to stick with lilo.
I was wondering what folks' favorite book is/was for learning/teaching undergraduate graph theory? In particular, I'm looking for a text that includes an examination of directed graphs.

I've set up a repository with svn for the first time. All appears to be working fine, but I seem to be missing an important step.
How are truck versions deployed to the web server? Do I check a copy out and manually copy files over, then check it back in? Or is there a better way?
Mounting a shared directory with Samba in xUbuntu?
On my Windows XP hard drive, I've just set the directory with all my mp3s in it to "shared."
I'd like to go into my laptop, running xUbuntu, and tell it to mount the shared directory somewhere that I can point amaroK or some other mp3 player at, so I can listen to my tunes in my bedroom at night.
How would I go about doing that? I assume it involves mucking about with Samba somehow?
